Weekend with Nana

Back on the home front, EJB packed in a weekend of fun with Nana and Auntie La. Pictured here is some quiet, post-bath story time... yet I'm pretty certain the little princess was spoiled rotten while Mom and Dad were away, setting a new bar for weekend entertainment.

Snow Bunny

Sawyer earned her "true Minnesotan" badge this weekend by happily sitting in a snow bank and making conversation with passersby as our crew awaited a post-ski shuttle back to camp.

Bluefin Bay

Linds & I and the Furbers joined the McNerneys for their annual Presidents' Day weekend on Lake Superior. In the interest of adding some flexibility to the weekend's festivities we left the toddlers behind (Sawyer, Finn and Maddie take much more kindly to being bundled and strapped to Bjorns and car seats while we "adults" hiked, XC skied, dined out, hot tubbed and perused the North Shore).

Thanks for the invite, Mcs. This "escape" was just what the doctor ordered!

Happy Valentine's Day

4 months

Sawyer Rose celebrated her 4 month b-day with a round of vaccinations and measurements at the doctor. The little peanut weighed in at 12 lbs ,12 oz (25-50 percentile) and measured 26 inches (>97% percentile). Yes, grandmothers... we are feeding her (she's just focusing on growing "up", not "out").

Anywho, here's the monthly update:

• flexing into a yoga "boat" pose (head and feet pointed upward, pictured)
• supporting herself enough to be carried one-handed on one's hip
• talking and giggling to herself in bed when she wakes
