Hangin' with Lucy

The fam' spent this Memorial Day weekend in Chicago with Joe, Tisha and little Lucy.  Per usual, the girls smothered their cousin with love.

Tons of fun packing in some QT over the long, beautiful weekend.  We BBQ'd, hit up a few hot spot restaurants (Pequod's, Little Goat, Smoke Daddy's, etc.), and toured nearly every park & kid-friendly attraction in the 312 (Shedd, Lincoln Park Zoo, et cetera).

Good times, J & T.  Thanks for having us!

Two-wheelin'

Our little perfectionist is not a fan of exposing weakness... so when riding without training wheels didn't go smoothly on take one, E said "forget it... I don't even like bikes, I'll just ride my scooter".

However, after seeing the neighbor girls zip around the cul de sac the last few weeks, well, Evie wasn't to be outdone... and somehow figured it out, almost overnight.

Tea Time

When hearing the "Frozen princesses" would be making an appearance at a local community center, offering up tea party dates, and hosting a pop-up amusement park party, we couldn't not go and make a day of it now, could we?

Surprise, surprise... the girls had the time of their lives.

Alley Cats

We're still adjusting to the new zip code, but seem to find a winner right around the corner week or two.  This weekend's big discovery was the Medina Ballroom, where we killed a couple hours with on the lanes, at the restaurant and in the arcade.

E outrolled us all (bumper-aided), but S won the sportsmanship award for her etiquette (shown above waiting patiently so as not to disrupt the neighboring lane's bowler).

Daddy's workshop

The girls love helping dad with "projects", especially when tools are involved.  Our most recent works include assembly of a go-kart and birdhouse.

Leighton!

Sawyer finally got her playdate with HELC BFF, Leighton.  Smiles all around...
