Outlaws

Linds & I took the girls to the local Harley Davidson dealership to buy Grandpa Bob a birthday present.  The two raced through the showroom right to the leather and starting trying things on, asking, "can I buy these?".  And, the from the moment they geared until we walked out of the store, it was all mean-muggin' and attitude (see Exhibit A, above).

Lord help us.

Uncle Doug's Playhouse

The girls had a blast with their "cousins" and all sorts of toys Uncle Doug's annual pool party.

And, Sawyer gave us a glimpse of what Driver's Training may look like in 13 years.

National Night Out, Cobblestone Lake-Style

Sawyer Rose showed some Backer genes (looking comfortable in a fire truck, like Grandpa Tom... and not-so-comfortable with a snake, like Nana) at National Night Out in Grandpa and Grandma Maxwell's Apple Valley neighborhood.

Yard games

One of the many perks of staying with Grandpa Bob & Grandma is easy access to an actual, usable, plush green backyard.  Last week girls spent hours running up and rolling down the hill, playing tag... and just plain horsing around.

Day 100

Rome wasn't built in a day, they say... and, I guess, the same applies to our new home.

One hundred days after signing on the dotted line, we've finally got a something that resembles a house emerging... and signs that the end (and a new suburban beginning) is in sight.

(the other) Green Lake

The annual McFurBack camping trip was upgraded to a cabin getaway this year, at a "serviceable" rental on Green Lake near Princeton, MN.

Cool temps, dense clouds of mosquitos, a little under-the-weather-ness and having to keep an eye and ear out for six kids under five slowed the adult fun a bit... but the young lemmings made the most of every second, playing to exhaustion each day/night!
