Easter

The Bunny paid the girls a suspicious three visits in 24 hours this year.  Their behavior must've been some kind of wonderful this spring... or something?

EJB's 7th

And just like that, our Big E turned 7!

Evs celebrated her big day with breakfast in bed, of course, and at the Way Cool Cooking School in Eden Prairie, where she and her 10 closest friends made (and ate) donuts, cake pops & pizza.  Oh, and washed it all down with a formal birthday cake.

The sugar buzz is just starting to wear off!

Holding Court

With the snow, knock on wood, officially gone for the season, the Sport Court is open for business.  I came home one evening to find the neighborhood boys playing, and had to challenge them to a game (of 4 on 1).  The old man took it to 'em, two games to none (with Sawyer joining the home team for game two).

Meet Roman Russell

On March 12th, after many weeks of bed rest and a handful of false alarm trips to the hospital, Auntie La's baby boy, Roman Russell Heiderscheidt, finally decided it was time.
Mom and baby are doing spectacularly well, and the girls are already smothering their newest cousin with love!

Patty Party

For the second straight year, L & I ditched the kids to run the Get Lucky 7k and crash the Jung's painting-the-down-green St. Patty's weekend pub crawl.  This year's highlight was definitely the nearly impossible to find Volstead's Emporium prohibition-style speakeasy in Uptown.  The lowlight was the girls' victory over the boys in the road race (though, we men were saving ourselves for day of partying ahead).

Biker Babe

Last year, S had little interest in biking, and even less in trying to ditch the training wheels.  But, on the first 60 degree day this spring, S was insistent on trying... and doing so without any help from Dad.  And, after 3-4 soft falls trying to push off, our little "natural" figured it out and never looked back... biking 2.5 miles with me chasing her ready to make a diving save should she wobble, then demanding we go to LaLa's to show off her new skills.
