A hip hop ya don't stop
The Misty Run crew, all children of the 90s, enjoyed a blast from the past at the I Heart the 90s tour at the Target Center. Vanilla Ice (pictured) headlined the show, but Salt N Pepa and Rob Base put up the best performances. Kid N Play, Coolio and Young MC also performed.

MEA in Duluth
With the kids off of school Thursday and Friday for MEA, L & I tossed out a few ideas for long weekend escapes, including working Priceline for last minute airfare to places like Chicago. The girls choice, by a mile, was another Duluth getaway... as they loved our late summer and early fall trips last year, and quickly rattled off a laundry list of spots they wanted to make sure we checked out again (Tobie's for donuts, Jay Cooke and Enger Tower for hiking, Adventure Land for mini golf and arcade games... and "any hotel with a pool").
Hiking was definitely THE thing this trip. And, Congden Park, a new find, where we hiked for hours alongside streams, waterfalls and walls of rock, was our favorite spot. The other new gem was Uncle Louie's, famous for their giant pancakes.
Also fun was seeing Sawyer's newfound interest in journaling. She brought a "diary" and Sharpie everywhere we went and made 25 entries over the course of the weekend!

SRB's 6th
We love you to pieces, Sawyer Rose. Happy Birthday to you!
US Bank Stadium
The future couldn't be brighter for long-tortured MN Viking franchise... and the present isn't too bad either. The team's young talented core, no-nonsense coach and beautiful, state-of-the-art stadium (that appears to be a competitive advantage in how insanely loud it gets) has things looking up.
My buddy, Mo, from my "Indiana Chapter" (whose home I watched every Vikings game from 2000-2007 at) came back to check-out the new digs with me, his buddy Marcellous (an even more-tortured Browns fan), and his cousin Tony. Oh, and the guy who introduced me the Vikings nearly 40 years ago, my dad, just so happened to be two rows behind us.
The Vikes won 31-13 (over the Texans), and sit atop the NFC at 5-0. Skol!
