Not sure what's going on with S here... but the kiddos had a blast during their first sledding outing of the season.
Misty Run's annual Christmas tree burning and "pondfire" s'mores...
The Lady Gophers hosted Wayzata's Youth Hoops program during a recent home game vs. Iowa for some pre- and post-game fun (high five lines, and photo opps), including WHS's freshman phenom Mara Braun (who got special locker room access, and shortly after signed with the the U for the 2022-23 season).
The Gophs got whooped by the Hawkeyes, and Megan Gustafson, who dropped 30-something effortless points (she's the nation's leading scorer, by the way).
Two more tournaments (in January), two more trophies. Fun weekends in Orono and down the block at WHS. E's getting more aggressive on O, getting up a few more shots/game (knocking down four buckets vs Orono, her season high), and penetrating from her wing spot. And, on D is snagging a board from time to time and is getting a knack for jumping passing lanes to pop the ball free. Fun to see them all progress.
This year's caboose Christmas celebration was at our place with Grandpa Tom, and with a handful of the crew under the weather, one hungover from NYE and a few others overdue for naps... it was a short one. But, the kids had a blast opening presents, playing "obstacle course", taking turns in Lucy's beauty shop, and singing karaoke.
