Xmas with Nana

Down a few due to road closures and illness, and locked indoors due to the bitter -20 degree windchill, but a fun day of eating, bowling (feather and traditional), eating, drinking, eating, gifts, eating and cousin chaos nonetheless.

Happy 46th

Dinner with Brett & Jason, hoops practices with E & S... none of which documented via camera.

But, got this one of present time with my girls spoiling me with presents... and a shot of Buster Bear and I snuggling late night wrapping up season two of White Lotus. :-)

Happy Holidays

10 years of tree-topping

We'll see how many more years this tradition will continue...

Christmas Spirit

They like the gifts still... but the reindeer games, not so much.

Our Xmas

The girls must've been good this year, as the spoils would indicate. Clothes, clothes and more clothes... and an Apple Watch were the big highlights.

8A @ Forest Lake

E's 8A crew took second in their Border Battle, knocking off a trio of Wisconsin's top teams (McConnell, Muskego, Whitefish) before losing a neck-in-neck battle with "the Wayzata of WI", Kimberly.

Wayzata 8A came into the matchup something like 150-1 vs. grade-level competition, with 5 straight state titles. Kimberly entered something like 150-0, also having one the state title the past 5 seasons.

Such a great matchup, such a fun game... and SO badly want a rematch.

6A @ Forest Lake

WGBA 6A won the Border Battle in Forest Lake with victories over Maple Grove, Stillwater, Muskego and revenge, come-from-behind win vs. Lakeville North (one of two teams to hand us Ls this year).

Heckuva tourney, ladies. A great way to end the year!

6A @ Howard Lake

SRB's crew won the Howard Lake 7B tourney while very short-handed, missing three girls and pulling up Makayla from 5A, with wins over GSL 7A, Sauk Rapids 7A and Dassel-Cokato 7A.

This team is starting to figure things out...

6A @ Mahtomedi

S's 6A squad won Mahtomedi's 7B tourney with wins over Mahtomedia 7A, WBL 7B and Owatanna 7A.

SRB Choir

The annual 6th grade choir concert was... about as expected. ;-)

Try to find Waldo...

Let it snow

This year has been a snowy one... and the variety that beautifully coats everything.

(But that doesn't stop Sawyer from getting shots up daily, and seems to beckon the neighborhood deer to frolic more frequently)

DTB 2029 Holiday Party

So fun to see these eight together again, and cannot wait until they do so on the court.

Just 76 days until our first spring practice.

Beauty Masks?

(I have no words.)

Cocoa with Jesus

L & S, and their guests D & Alison got the dates wrong and showed up at UST when there was no hoops game... but, they were able to crash "Cocoa with Jesus" with the college kids... so, there's that.

Warrior Dog

They won't feed, walk or groom OUR dog, but sure do seem to find time to volunteer with dozens of others every other week at Warrior Dog in Savage.

Palm Springs | Out & About

With a place with as many amenities as our AirB&B had, and the mountains as beckoning as they were, we didn't spend much time elsewhere.

This said, our outings downtown to check out the murals, grab a drink and bite at Pinocchio's, the Village, and Cantina, cocktails at the Ace Hotel, or get a few shots up at La Quinta Park were memorable escapes.

Palm Springs | Turkey Trot

Felt great to get a quick run in (myself especially, as this run was my first "athletic" anything since my ruptured achilles repair 4.5 months ago) before indulging on an "Italian Thanksgiving" catered feast back at the ranch.
