Trout Lake

 

Spending a week at Trout Lake with Gracyn has been a bucket list item for S for years, and we finally made it happen in 2023. S LOVED the week, her new friends, and her first exposure to parent-free autonomy. 

Too hot to trot, literally

The big guy was not cut out for temperatures north of about 55 degrees. So, when it's hot hot, after about a block of trying... he takes advantage of his own "economies of scale" and just plain won't budge until his walker turns around and heads back home.

DTB @ Summer Jam

A rough showing in DTB's finale. But, couldn't ask for a better way to spend father's day than watching (and coaching) my baby girls. This team had an outstanding season and made waves on the AAU scene in MN. And, IA... I'm not sure there's been a team from MN to knock of four AIA teams in one summer!

Enjoy the offseason, ladies. Can't wait to see what next year brings.

A quick 24 hour trip to the Mile High City to check out some new pizza vending machines we're experimenting with (and explore the local beer scene during some brief down time). DiGiorno hot & ready to eat in 3 min cheaper than traditional pizza delivery. I think we might be on to something?

DTB @ All Iowa Attack (Midwest Girls Classic)

Absolute blast of a weekend in Iowa with the DTB family. Not so great on the court, but a fun "finale" with the families.

A tough Summer Jam tourney for E & company. It's a long season, and summer break is on the horizon. Always fun to be in the gym though...

Nana & company

With S, L & me down in Iowa, E got a weekend with Nana and the cousins/aunts. Lots of SBUX runs, shopping, and sushi and who knows what else?!?

Schoooool's out for sum-mer...

E "graduated" from middle school and S wrapped up her first year as a junior higher... and we all celebrated with a summer kickoff of pool time, play dates, park life... and just good old fashioned relaxation.

S and the DTB crew had another strong showing, going 3-1 and losing (again) to that d@mn NT Nike squad. We'll get them eventually...

E's MN Stars won their first tourney of the season with a HUGE victory over NT Nike's 7th grade squad, the region's top team at that level (who holds their own with the big guns in 8th).
A "personal" one too, with several Wayzata players on both squads (E & Harp vs. Mallory & Ari).
